Anti-Fracking protesters vow to continue action against A E Yates

Anti-fracking protesters took to the streets again today to protest against Lostock company A E Yates Ltd.

The company has been building a platform to enable shale gas exploration company Cuadrilla to extract gas from the Preston New road site in Little Plumpton, Lancashire.

 

Protesters demonstrated outside A E Yates as part of a Sequence of events over the last few weeks. The Protesters who had Signs, banners and placards also took audio equipment and played music as they protested in a party fashion. 

 

One of the Protesters said "Our power should not be underestimated. We have protested at a number of companies who have been supplying in to the Preston New road site and over the last week we have seen a number of them pull out of the supply chain. We will continue to take action against A E Yates for as long as it takes. we are not going away" 

 

Protesters demonstrated outside Armstrong Aggregates  earlier this week which led to their withdrawing from the supply chain a number of other suppliers have also confirmed that they will no longer supply in to the site at Preston New road. 

 

On Wednesday a Photographer was arrested near the A E Yates site after crossing the road moments after a slow march had taken place. He was later released on police bail.
